Because of the time-consuming nature of hand-cutting, I decided to invest in a Glowforge to explore whether I could speed up the cutting process, while still using my creativity to make art and draw puzzle pieces on my iPad. While I do still love making digital artwork as well as working by hand, the pull of scroll saw hand-cutting kept bringing me back. Today I enjoy making a variety of puzzles—acrylic laser cut, wood laser cut, and the beautiful but challenging scroll saw hand-cut puzzles—each offering its own rhythm, constraints, and creative possibilities.

As my work evolved, so did my curiosity. I began expanding beyond puzzles into other handcrafted wooden creations, including custom frames, ornaments, coasters, and similar small-batch pieces. These projects allow me to explore design in a different way—focusing more on shape, finish, and storytelling through functional art. Whether it’s a frame meant to hold a meaningful memory, an ornament that marks a moment in time, or a coaster that brings a small bit of joy into everyday life, I find the same satisfaction I first discovered in puzzles: creating something tactile, thoughtful, and meant to be experienced slowly.

In July of 2024, I decided to step away from my corporate job and turn fully toward my creative journey—focusing on hand-cutting, artwork, hand lettering, and a growing range of exploratory projects. That shift has given me the space to build not just a product line, but a creative practice that continues to evolve with me.
